Slack
Status: Available on Pro and above.
Connect a Slack workspace and a default channel. When a guest drops a pin, VisualPin posts a notification with the pin number, the reviewer's name, the comment, and a deep-link back to the canvas. Reply in the Slack thread and the reply syncs back as a comment on the pin.
What you can do
- Route different projects to different channels
- Mute resolved-pin notifications
- Use slash commands:
/pinpoint resolve [pin#]
GitHub
Status: Available on Pro and above.
Link a GitHub repository to a project. Any pin can be converted into a GitHub issue with one click — the issue body contains the pin coordinates, screenshot, reviewer comment, and a back-link to VisualPin. When the issue is closed, the pin is automatically marked resolved.
Loom
Status: Available on all plans.
Paste any public Loom URL into a pin comment and VisualPin embeds the player inline. Reviewers can watch your walk-through right next to the pin without leaving the canvas. Works with Loom, Vimeo, and YouTube.
Figma
Status: Beta on Business and above.
Paste a published Figma frame URL as your project source. VisualPin renders the frame and anchors pins to Figma layer IDs, so feedback survives when designers tweak the layout. Comments left in Figma show up as pins in VisualPin, and vice versa.
Limitations
- Only published prototypes (not private files) can be loaded
- Two-way sync requires the VisualPin Figma plugin (free)
Coming in 2026
- Linear — push pins as Linear issues with cycle and project assignments
- Jira — Atlassian Marketplace app, including Jira Service Management
- Notion — embed VisualPin canvases inside Notion pages
- Asana — convert pins to tasks with assignees and due dates
- Webhook API — build your own integration with a public REST + webhook spec
How approvals work
All integrations use OAuth 2.0 with the minimum scopes required. You can revoke access at any time from your dashboard, and we never store user passwords. Read-only by default — write actions (creating issues, posting messages) require explicit per-project opt-in.
