Our story
VisualPin started in the 1st quarter of 2026 when our founding team — a designer, a product engineer, and an agency owner — got tired of stitching together Loom, Figma comments, Notion docs, and three separate Slack threads to ship a single homepage revision. The problem wasn't the tools. It was the gap between what a client meant and what a developer received.
We built the first prototype in a weekend: a canvas, a pin, a comment box. We sent it to two beta clients on a Monday. By Friday they'd cancelled their existing review tool. That's when we knew.
What we believe
- Context beats prose. A pin on the exact element is worth a paragraph of "the thing on the left near the top."
- Reviewers shouldn't sign up. The person giving feedback is doing you a favour. Don't make them create an account.
- AI is a translator, not a replacement. Our AI rewrites unclear feedback into actionable tickets — it never invents intent.
- Speed is a feature. If the canvas takes more than 800ms to load, no one will use it twice.
The team
We're a small, fully-remote team across Lisbon, Manila, and Toronto. We hire people who've shipped real software for real customers and who can hold strong opinions loosely. We answer support emails ourselves — every founder takes a week of triage rotation per quarter.
What's next
Our 2026 roadmap is focused on three things: deeper integrations with the tools you already pay for (Linear, Jira, Notion, Asana), AI-assisted triage that groups duplicate feedback automatically, and a public API so agencies can embed VisualPin inside their own client portals.
